I think the key is to convince the consul officer that you will return back to your home country after a short visit. You may need to show stronger ties, such as family, fixed property, lands etc. back home.

In my opinion showing just a job back home does not convince the officer, given your age and the ties with the US based company. Good luck.

      She did not see anything...

I did put in my form : travel itnerary and hotel booking too.
Return ticket was on a confirmed fixed date(not even open).

I had on file, my asset valuation which amounts to 22 lacs rupees.
I own the company with worth 7 lacs, that's seperate.
I am studying in MBA, that was also there...
She did not ask anything else or saw anything!!

      Ok - a quick question :

Do you need to start explaning everything on your own OR you should answer only questions which she asks and give supporting documents!?

      Please guide...

This is just my opinion. You should answer the questions that she/he asks and hand in the paper work as requested. It maybe just that the officer somehow felt that you will not return back to your home country.

Why don't you apply again, and see if you interview with a different officer. It is sometimes a matter of being at the right place at the right time at the consulates. Good luck!

          Thanks for your posts..

I have scheduled a second appointment in September. Further - issue : what all can be asked this time?

Isnt the fact that, the refusal possibility goes higher once refused?

Will officer ask, what all have changed since first interview?

However the fact is that nothing much will change apart from some more financial fugures. But what to say that earlier officer did not care to ask much or see my docs..?!!

          what to reply..?

Also - Also, how many TIMES can you reApply when refused.. and refused again..?

There's no limit. You can reapply as many times as you may like to.

Is your invite letter from your US based firm convincing enough? From reading your original post, I get the impression that the officer thought you can do the job remotely from your home country. It would be worthwhile for you to think about an explanation - as to why you cannot perform the job remotely? and why do you have to be present in the USA? Good luck.

From your post it appears that the consular was not convinced that
your trip was really necessary. Even if the rest (finances, other documents)
were ok, this was a vital part too. Unless you can substantially strengthen
that part of your argument, you will risk a refusal again.

Remember, the consular does not know anything about your background.
He/she only has few minutes to assess your case and every statement
you make has a bearing on his/her decision.

If your trip is really important; you could consult an attorney over email
on how to answer each question.

                  best of luck.
