B2 Visa question

Hi,

My father-in-law already has a B1/B2 visa valid until 2015. I am planning on sending an invite for my in-laws to visit USA.

Do I have to apply for a B2 visa for him again, or is the existing B1/B2 visa valid.

Please suggest.

I do not really follow your question.

If he already has a valid visa, why do you have the doubt that he should be applying again?
There is no need.

If your MIL does not have one, only she will need to apply.

If you are saying that the visa is valid until 2015, then there is no need to apply for a new visa.

His B1/B2 visa was sponsored by his company for business visits to US and I was not sure if the same visa would be valid or if I had to sponsor a B2 visa for him.

Ok. Once a 10 year B1/B2 has been issued, subsequent visits over 10 years do not have to
( and cannot) meet the situation at the initial application.
And since it is a combined B1/B2, it can be used for either purpose.
