  • Expired I-94 for B2 visa sponsor

    Hi,

I am on H1B and I am sponsoring my parents. I have visa stamp of company A on my passport, but it is expired. So, I-94 is also expired as this was issued based on that visa stamp. The reason is simple that I didn't go out of USA after i got my extension from company A. Now, I moved to company B with H1B transfer. So, I have both H1B documents with me. Though company A's H1b should have been revoked by now, I have a copy of that too. That means, I am left with company B's H1b which is currently valid.

So here are my questions while sending my passport copy to my parents,

    1) Should I send them the expired I-94 copy which was issued at the port of entry? Or the I-94 on company B's H1B should be enough? Does this play a role in granting my parents B2 visa?
    2) Should I send them both H1B documents (company A and company B)? Because, my passport has only visa stamp(expired with old H1B from comp A) and my passport does not have any information related to company B's H1B.

The reason why I am asking all this, my parents visa got denied in the first attempt. It looks like the VO only looked at my passport copy and rejected the visa. So, my only guess is that the passport copy has that expired I-94 on it.

Can any one please help me out here?

    Thanks in advance,
    Naani

Approval notice is sufficient. It is highly likely that they will not be asked to produce any paper anyway.

Only current employer's approval notice us sufficient.
