Appointment at chennai consulate

Hello all,

I took an appointment for my mother and sister at chennai consulate in October few days ago. I read in some website that we are supposed to submit the docs via courier within 12 days. When my folks in India enquired, they were told its enough to take the docs when they appear for interview.
Please let me know which one is true and what is the procedure in sending the docs to the consulate.

Also, Should I purchase medican insurance before they appear for the interview so that they have proof of insurance if they are asked for it?

Could you tell me what time you tried and got the appointment for OCT ?
Is the inteview language - English/any other language ?

i have been looking for dates and so far it is all FULL till OCT.

Appointments in October were available till y'day. I got my appointment on Oct 27th between 2-2:15pm.

They need to take all the docs with them to the interview.
Medical Insurance is not a must, my parents bought their insurance after the interview.

i just checked the site @ 3:40 pm after reading yr post here and all are FULL in oct. again

you said u booked the appt, at 2-2:15 pm u.s time EDT right ?. may be i wd check tomorrow @ the same time.
