Can I travel with about to expire passport?

Hi all,

I have a multiple entry US visa valid till Aug 05
My passport expires by Sep 05.

Can I travel by first week of July and return back by Aug?

Passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond intended dates of travel.

Would suggest to apply for passport renewal asap (probably you will need to do so under a tatkal scheme). And then travel using both of your passports.
