wife's mom visiting visa

I have been US citizen for almost a decade. My wife is here in USA since past year (green card holder) getting TB treatment done. She is at stage where her mom from india need to come to USA for support. What is best way to petition for her visiting visa?

Side note ; wife's mom also has immigration file pending.

If it is an Immediate relative petition from her USCitizen child, she can surely forget about a visitor visa.

She has F4 type pending from priority date of Jan 2004.

Also the petition is from her brother in law(husband's brother). my wife attempted suicide. what if doctor can write her medication condition and Ican recommend her to come over in writing? My wife need someone close to her ASAP.

But they are granted in rare situations when the officer is convinced that the current
visit will be temporary.

There is no harm in applying. A denial won't affect the F4 petition.

If you can , avoid the mention of TB . You can get it from her psychiatrist that
she is depressed and suicidal and the presence of close family members will
benefit her condition.

The decision also depends on your MIL's ties to India.
Does she have any children here , what does your FIL do?
Their income and financial status.
Ask for 2-3 months , not more.
If they are very well off , let her show self-funding.

Yeah I was worried about mentioning about TB condition. However she is not longer infectious and she is able to do everything with no isolation. Psychiatrist has agreed to write letter of her condition and recommending her close family member specifically her mom based on visitor visa. Her mother has a son in india along with rest of the family. Only her brother in law(patitioner for her F4) is in USA that too in different City. I would like to say that MIL and FIL both have goverment job and i believe their financial status is good too. I will reqeust her to ask for 2-3 months. Any other recommendation?
