  • B2 Visa - what are my chances?

Hey there. First post ever here, just registered to get some help for my situation.

I applied to a B2 Visa and I'll have my Interview in 8 days. I am beginning to worry though if they will permit it for me. Because I have to proof that I have a reason to come back home (germany) again but technically I don't have a "real" reason like a Job or owning land or something.
What I do have is the fact that my dad and his gf will marry at the end of the year though.
Also I would like to know if its possible that me and my father go to a notary so that he can officially guarantee for me coming back. Is it? And would that be enough combined with their marriage?
I also have a lot of financial shares so I have enough money.

Oh btw, the reason for my travel is a roadtrip I planned with a american friend of mine which is supposed to go until november. Just aimlessly driving around, being free, having fun, that kind of stuff. No real planned route but it will start in Alabama.

So uh... do I have a good chance to get that Visa or is that not enough?

Now that you have applied, so face it.

I am in India and here, for young people, they need to see a job or college enrolment as a reason to come back.
In Germany, they may be more lenient, I do not know.
If you can't show a job, show your money and something related to future plans in
    Germany.

Why did you not use the 3 month visa waiver ?
you could have divided the trip into 2 parts.

First of all thanks for answering that fast.
If I would use visa waiver I'd have to get a flight back before I even go there. But I don't know from WHERE I would fly back since we don't really have any specific plans where to go.

Also, even though I already have applied I could still cancel it, though I don't really plan to do that.
Just looking for some advice so I can improve my chances maybe.
