Hi All,

I live in New Jersey, currently visiting India. I want my mother to travel back with me when I come back to US. She had once visited US in 1999 briefly.

1. Is it acceptable to tell the Officer that she will be travelling back with me for tourism purposes?
2. Is there in any way to apply for a 10 yr multiple entry visa or that is entirely discretionary?

1) Yes
2) It is at the discretion of the consul officer reviewing her application. However you can request for a multiple entry visa in the letter to the consulate/embassy
