  • b2 visa help

    hey,
i'm applying for the USA visa for tourism purpose b2
basically my bua's son is getting married in aug so we wanted to attend the marriage added to that my mama also resides in usa so we will be visiting him also.

my dad expired 2 years back n my mother is a housewife.
my elder sister is working at a respectable position
i'm presently in college in 2nd year.

we all are applying together for the visa.

i just wanted to know what all documents are needed.

as the visa fees is non refundable we all are in a doubt should we apply or not?
can anyone give us a clear picture.
if anyone of us is denied then?

we have already visited usa for tourism purpose n my parents rejected immigration offered to them

Ok. That was a long time ago. It won't count for your current visa application.

Who is funding the trip ? Have you asked someone in US to send you
          financial support papers ( I-134)?

I am sorry to be blunt but you should not be applying like this at all.

              The reason;
You are NOT leaving enough ties behind to come back .

              Too many negatives;
              1. All of you are going . No family ties behind.
              2. Purpose is casual . Cousin's wedding is nothing of extreme importance.
              3. Your mother is a widow and non-working.. Widows find it hard to get visit visas.
              And no work ties.
              4. You are a young, single student. Most suspect as potential immigrant.
              5. Your sis has a good job but again I assume she is single , so that is a negative.
6.You are not showing your own money. Someone funding from US is not a positive
but a negative . It shows that you guys have weak financial ties to India.

The combination of all the 6 factors will most certainly bring you a denial.

Can you give me some idea about your sis's work
( trying to determine if she can fund the trip)
              1. where is she working and as what
              2. For how long
              3. rough income range
4.Has she ever been outside India?

If you want to attend the marriage anyway, why bother about the visa fees at all ? If its a reject, its a reject. Has anyone bought a lottery by purchasing a ticket which has a refundable clause in it ?
I dont think the visa fee was a 'such a large sum' of money for someone to loose.

Peace, I am sorry to be blunt, but I have seen you respond in these forums too many times scaring people away from a chance to visit this beautiful country. Relax.
The VO at the consulate is not 'hell bound' to deny anyone a visitor visa. What you are saying implies that the VO is such a misled bloke that he will give a visa to anyone showing enough ties to come back. Really ? Potential immigrant is just one of the little factors that the VO looks into.
Any country needs tourists (who bring in money to spend) to make sure their own economies are flourishing. People from foreign land coming for tourism purpose are way more than welcome in almost any country.
This is my opinion. Not a legal advice

I do not yet understand if there is a 'case' at all. You are requesting to visit a country as a tourist with a purpose of attending a relative's marriage. If that is true, then what else can you do to make it more truer. You need to have all documents to substantiate important claims.
Please understand, strong financial ties, afaik, are just one aspect. I know of at least one person with more than 30Cr of net worth and with hundreds of hectares of cultivable land, yet denied a visa. I even know of people whose children are GC holders in US but their parents are denied.
If I were you I would just write everything truthfully. LIke my friends parents did. His dad was employed but sadly never had a bank account to prove that he was employed. So they just mentioned that he was employed. But he could never have proven he was employed since there was no bank statement. You can tell the same thing to the VO at the consulate. If your mom runs a music school, she does. First, its an offense that you never paid taxes from your revenue while you have enjoyed the civil services provided by other tax payers money. You can just say, you never reported that income. If you have already submitted the application, there is little you can do. Also, I hope you know that any false information in DS160 can lead to a life ban from entering into US.Most of the rejections that I know of are because people lie. The VO will know if you are lying in no time.
However, I feel, if you be as truthful as possible, you have every chance of getting a B2.

                      please help me as well

                      Dear Friends,

I have been a student on F1 status here at USA and it has been one month since I graduated. Now, I am on OPT and looking for a job (post doc position). My husband is on F1status currently. I am willing to reapply for my parents visa (B1/B2); it has been rejected one about two months before for no apparent reasons. First time, my mom went by herself to the interview (Mumbai consulate) but this time I am planning for my dad and mom both. Please suggest me the required documents and expected questions and best possible answers that can be asked to my parents. I desperately need them here as I have a two month old baby. Specifically, I like to know:
                      1) What should my parents say in response to "what your daughter is doing right now? should they mention that I am looing for a job or should they say that she is waiting for her husband's study completion and then they will return back.
                      2) If they ask whether your daughter has any children, should they admit it?
                      3) IF the officers are willing to give a visa to any one of them, what should we say in response to it?

                      Please help me.

                      Thanks
