Possible "tip" for rescheduling interview dates!
Hello All:
As most of us are.... I was in a situation where I wanted to get an earlier date for the interview in Chennia for my in-laws. When I booked initially, got a date somewhere in Sep and then moved to Aug end after several trials. My wife and I did some research on when was the best time to get prior dates (for at least Chennai), but cudn't figure out until v tried for more than a month. V tried literally every hour of the day (as some suggested) before going to sleep and right after getting up, but one day when I got up @ 5:30am PDT for some reasons and checked, I found quite a few dates in July/August. I immediately booked the one in July and did the same the next few days (losing sleep over it!
) and was consistantly lucky the next 3 days. I finally got a date for June 13 after couple more trials 
. My in-laws went for the interview and got their 10 yrs M entry visa. I asked my B-I -L in India to check n see if he was able to see similar pattern with the availability of dates and he noticed that the dates were available when checked at 5 / 6 & 7pm IST (most dates when checked @ 6 and 7 PM).
The key here is to have 2 windows (browser) open, one with the cancel/modify page filled out with all the details (like rcpt #, PP #, etc.), except the CODE, and the other page with Check Appointment Availability. Keep checking the availability any # of times and when U see one that U want, immediately go into the other window, enter the CODE and press "next". Sometimes U'll see the date available "A", but by the time U click it, its gone! (just matter of timing) and ofcourse every1 can't b lucky @ the same time! Keep trying....
Y was I waiting so long to post this info..... ????!!! I was checking to see if this works for a few of my friends first the last few weeks before I tell the larger audience
This was for interview date in English and in Chennai only, though the same MIGHT work for other languages and consulates also. This worked for me and few others that I know, but NOT sure it works for every1 else. Just give it a try...... n U might b lucky!
