  • Need Suggestions for Consulate letter

I am trying to get visitor visa for my father who got retired from his government job 7 months back. His visa already got refused once around 18 months back and he was working then. I am trying to draft the letter to the consulate and will tell my father to request the officer to atleast read the letter once. Here is the format:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I, GZZZ YYYY , work as a Programmer Analyst for XYZ Inc., which has its headquarters in YYYY , California. My annual income is $ YYYY X. I would like to invite my father Mr SZZZ YYYY , residing at ZZZ, India; to visit us in USA for about 2 months, starting from August 20, 2012.

He has well established family in India with collective real estate property worth Rs. 2,000,000 on his and his spouse’s name and earns Rs. 30,000 monthly including his pension, lease from rented house and lease from land on contract. He carries with him all the detailed documents.
His younger son and daughter-in-law are both earning and take care of all the house expenses.

The purpose of the visit is social as well as tourism within the USA. During his visit, he will stay with us at the above mentioned address, and I will bear all his expenses including the round trip air fare to USA, food, housing, travel within USA, medical insurance and his all other personal expenses.

    Here is his tentative itinerary:

    Aug 20, 2012 – Arrival in USA

    Oct 20, 2012 – Departure to India

I will make sure that he leaves United States before the expiration of his authorized stay. Kindly grant him the tourist visa. Please do not hesitate to contact me via telephone or e-mail if you have any questions.

    Thanking You,

    GZZZ ZZZ

Should not count too much on the letter.

If he was denied while he was working, now the chances are slimmer as he is retired.

    What about your mother
Can you post the last interview?

My mother was denied the visa two times. First she went along with my father for theinterview and both were denied the visa. After 2 months she went alone and again denied. Then I tried for my mother-in-law and she got the visa.

The officer never asked about my parents income, property etc. I am really worried this time. Hence trying to write a letter to the Consulate so that atleast the officer asks abut their property and income. What else can I do? Any tips will be helpful. Is there anything my father needs to take care of?
