Hi,
My parents went for the visitor visa interview at Chennai consulate today and they were told after the interview that their visa got approved. We took an appointment in Telugu even though my father knows English.
Following questions were asked:
a) about my father's occupation, what he do? Mentioned that he is an advocate. My father answered directly to the Officer instead of to the translator.
b) Officer asked, why did you took the appointment in Telugu, instead of English, as you speak well. Replied that even though, he understands English, not clear of American Slang.
c) Who is sponsoring your visit? Showed the documents which we sent from here.
That's it, they got visa issued and no more questions asked. The officer who interviewed my parents was young and more co-operative.
After the interview, they took parents passport for stamping, but didnot collect the photos. But my parents saw that they are collecting photos from others. My parents only noticed after coming out of the consulate. Is that problem? Do they need to send the photos via post? or to TT Services? Also how do they know, whether they got Multiple entry or Single entry visa and the duration of visa. Please let me know.
Thank you for all your valuable advices and feedback and most importantly to the immihelp.com for their detailed helpful information.
