hi,

my sister is planning to visit US this year to explore opportunities for studies or job or just visit US ( she is a healthcare proff) , do i need to be her sponsor? though she will be staying with us, my dad will be the one who is going to sponsor her travel & education. My question is, is it recommended that a person in her situation come without a sponsor or should I act as a sponsor. me & my wife are here since 8 months.

Every person needs to show financial assets to be able to support themselves during the trip.

If your father is sponsoring her, you don't need to send sponsorship papers. However, please send her the proof of your legal status in US.

what sort of documents should be appropriate to provide proof of legal residency?

If you are US citizen, copy of US passport.
If you are Greencard holder, copy of Greencard.
If you are on H1, copy of H1 status approval.
