  • parents visa approved but brother's rejected

    Hi

My parents and brother just appeared for visa interview at chennai consulate yesterday.
My parents got their visa approved but my brother didnt.
He is 28 years old, single too but hasnt finished his BE degree. He still didnt get the tourist visa.

I knew the facts that for siblings its hard to get tourist visa, but i still wanted to give a try as we all wish it would work right?

I thought with his arrear exams results pending, he would get the visa but the visa officer rejected his visa alone.
I scheduled in tamil, the american consular officer talked in tamil and there was no translator person separately. So my family had hard time in understanding his tamil. It would have helped if there was a translator. My brother could understand english but i kept visa in tamil for my parents sake.

    Questions:
My brother has attempted his pending arrears in May this year. Waiting for results now.
    1. If he clears all the exams, is it safe to schedule another tourist visa appt after getting a good job?
    2. I mentioned in the DS application that he is a student attempting exams to complete his degree. Also my brother mentioned to the interview consular that he would be back to India after the trip to complete his exams. He said that coz he thought of the worst case if he doesnt clear his exam this month. In that case if the results shows he cleared the exam this month, will it raise contradictory questions on the application? - that he doesnt have pending exams, his result is just pending? Will this become a problem?
    3. Before I re-apply again what would all show strong ties - any pointers would help.

    Kindly help.

His case is very weak at the moment.
To brighten his chances of getting the visa he should first clear his BE, should be employed in a good company with handsome package with 3 years of experience.
He should also be married at the time of re-applying for his visa.
