  • Parents Visitor Visa , I-134 qusetion.

My parents are applying for a visitor visa.
They own a business in India but currently due to development of the building, the shop is closed for 6 more months for now. Should my parents mention about this when asked why they want to go at this time?
Should they completely avoid mentioning that the store is currently closed?

Also, I assisted in applying for my elder sister's visitor visa. I did not fill up an I-134 for her but she did mention my address on the DS-160 form?
In the I134 should I mention about my elder sister then?

    Thanks in Advance!

Purely my opinion. If something I mentioned is incorrect, someone please correct it.

Be truthful in the interview, that helps. If the shop is closed as of now, get an affidavit/stamp paper duly signed by Notary and present it when asked about what your parents do or why they want to travel at this time.

For I-134, I think every member who travels USA needs a separate I-134. So make one for your sister as well.

      Incorrect DS 160 information

Thanks so much csingh for your reply.

      I have one more question:

We filed our visa application through an agent. He made a few mistakes in the application:
      1) Incorrect Address of stay in USA: He incorrectly entered my company address instead of my home address.
      2) Incorrect Date of Arrival: He incorrectly mentioned the date as 30th September, although my parents are planning for first week of August.
      3) Incorrect Previous Countries Visited: Even though my parents have travelled to both Dubai and Qatar, he just mentioned UAE leaving out Qatar.

Should I cancel the appointment and reschedule with new DS160 form or we can mention the interviewer that there have been mistakes? Their interview is on Thursday so a quick reply will be highly appreciated.

As mentioned earlier, follow a thumb rule, always correct whatever you know is incorrect, as your parents will be signing on that and can be held accountable for providing wrong info. This is my opinion do consult experts too.
