Second Visit Visa Application Process

Hi,

My Dad had applied for the US Visitor visa in July 14th 2010 and was issued a B2 visa stamp only for a one year validity up to July 11 2011. He visited US within the visa validity and returned back to India in Oct 2010. Now i want to apply for visitor visa again, Does he need to reappear for the interview or can visa request processed as a renewal. (even though the visa issued last time has expired more than year).

Those entering on visitor visas will generally be granted 6 months admission (the maximum allowable is one year) on entry. It may be possible to obtain a six-month extension to the visit visa as long as the candidate will be maintaining visitor status.I don't think he can still use the same visa..please check with your attorney..
