The circumstances have changed for you since 2 Years back, you can surely apply. You are still legally a bachelor. There are other factors to be considered. Such as your income ties in India. What is your annual legally valid/verifiable income in India? Who is sponsoring your trip? Who else is there in your family? Where are they currently?

Family ties in India are a plus, as for engagement, again, you are still legally a a bachelor. 7-8 Lakhs seems slightly on the low side for self sponsorship. If you are self sponsoring the VO would certainly like to know why you are spending 15-20% of your annual income to attend a conference for 10 Days.

            New member here.

Had my B2 visa interview today at New Delhi..

At the end the counsellor said your visa is approved and kept my passport and the visa appointment letter with him.

However, when I reached home I realised that I still held both the HDFC receipts (Blue and Pink).

Now wondering if this means a delay? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
