  • Parents visa interview question

    Hi,

My inlaws are attending their B2 visa interview in 2 days. My father in law does business in India. Can someone guide me on what should be replied to in case they ask, "Who will take care of your business during your absence?"

    Appreciate your response.

What is the real answer? That is, who will actually take care of the business?

Real answer is, His manager will take care of it for that period of time.

When you say his Manager, you mean, your father is the owner of the business and the Manager is your father's employee right? In that case it would be right to say that he has X number of employees and there is a Manager who knows about the operations and the manager will take care of the business in his absence. Also, it would be prudent to anticipate a next question on revenue and turnover of the business, and take proofs of the same. A lot depends on family ties too, who else is in your family, where they are, who is sponsoring the trip, if your father has decent business income its wise that he self sponsors the trip. This is my opinion, not legal advice.
