    If you are serious about visiting US;
    take your first app seriously. A denial may adversely affect your future
    planning for US if any.

    Consulars have in mind these 2 major issues while interviewing
    visitors;

    1 APPLICANT WILL RETURN AFTER THE STAY;
    If the consular gets any indication from your interview that you wish to live
    there for ever,or work as a visitor,your visa will be denied. You must demonstrate
    strong ties to your home country like a good job/ college enrollment/
    leaving children behind if married/major property/ business/Healthy
    financial status etc. and carry all documents that prove what you say.

    Show all the wealth you have. Get an asset statement prepared
    by a CA showing all your balances, FDs, investments, immovable
    property. If earning, take the tax-returns for the last 2-3 years
    with you.

    2. YOU WILL NOT BECOME A PUBLIC CHARGE IN US;
    Meaning, you will have enough funds of your own or
    from your host in US for your travel and your stay.
    Again, show all the money/property/business you have. Richer the better.
    If you will be supported by your relative while in the US; get an
    affidavit of support I-134 with bank satements from your relative in US. But remember, I-134s sometimes go against a young applicant; the consulars tend to think the relative sending the affidavit may also help the visitor
    settle in the US . So, if you are rich, show your own funds rather
    than the I-134.

    Best of luck.
