My Parents went to B2 Visa @ Hyderabad consulate and got successful at the second attempt.
First interview on April 2, 2012 (Result-Visa Denied)-Lady Visa officer
Questions asked to my father:
VO: what are you doing?
FA: I am a Farmer.
VO: How many kids do you have?
FA: Two, one is in America, and another staying with us.
VO: what is your annual income?
FA: YYYY per year
VO: what are the places you would visit in USA?
FA: told
VO: what is your son doing?
FA: he is computer system Analyst in YYYY Company.
To My Mother:
VO: what are you doing?
MO: Homemaker
After this question VO told: Sir I am issuing the Visa to you, where as I not giving to your wife. Then my father asked the VO why? Then she replied I haven’t got the documents of your wife.(Invitation letter, Affidavit of support) my father had them in hand and thought of giving them when they asked. Then my Father replied that he had all the paper work and requested VO to issue Visa's to Both! ( seems like VO got frastrated and gave back both the passports and asked to Re-apply again)
Second Interview on August 27, 2012. (Male VO)
This time my Parents got all the documents like last time, But we organized very well with sticky labels on everything to make sure that the VO recognize them and pick what ever he\she needed. I told my father to handover all the documents when they ask for Passports instead of holding them like last time. ( when requested for Passports, My father gave all the documents (both) including invition letters , affidavit of support & letter to consulate and my [sponser documents]) all at once.
VO: how many kids do you have?
FA: 2, one is USA and another one staying with us in India.
VO: after going through all the documents, most importantly my documents twice in couple of minutes and verified in his computer couple of times according to my father
VO: your visas will be delivered to you with in One week
To my surprise only one question asked regarding kids, and he straight forwardly said that “your Visas will be sent to you with in one week”. Seems to be lucky to my parents
