Hi,
My mom (widowed) had her Visa interview today and she got through it!.
Just wanted to share this experience in case this helps anyone.
This is a cliche- but its so true- you have to- have to- show your ties in India.
Thankfully for my mom- my grandparents live with her and also my younger (unmarried brother) stays together.
Qs:
1- Whom are u going to visit there
2- Then she asked to check my VISA
3-What do u do (My mom included that apart from xyz, I also take care of my parent since they are dependent on me- i think this was a big winner)
4-How many children - I in India (who is yet to get "married") and one in US (thats me)
5-She asked- so do you live with your parents. My Mom (and i am proud of her answer) said- NO- my parents are dependent on me .They live with me.
That was it .
She got the VISA.
Hope this experience helps someone.I too learnt a lot by reading posts of other people and thought it can be a good idea to share my story.
All the best !
