  • Second time Visa appointment for parents - Please help

    Hi,
My parents attended for visa on june 27the and got rejected saying the company for which I work is not existing in USA.

I took an appt. for them on august 10th. for both.
Can my husband can sponsor this time?

But this time my father does'nt want to attend the interview??

Will that be a problem?? can i send only my mom for the interview and stating an appropriate reason for my father not able to attend the interview.

Do i need to send the docs for both as if both are ready to attend the interview?

Did someone had this type of situation before, please suggest me.

    Thanks in advance,
    Vanaja.

Vanaja - You should probably send some documentation about the company you work for...perhaps an annual report, a brochure etc.

If your father wants to get the visa...then he needs to attend the interview...no attendance means no visa for him. If your mom is the only one attending the interview...then be prepared to answer the question as to why your father is not planning to accompany to visit the U.S. Good luck!

1)Does it matter if i dont sponsor this time and my husband sponsors this time?
2)Do they ask why i didnt sponsored them again??
3)Will the change in sponsorship will become a reason for rejection??

Still i want to send all docs for support.

My MIL visa was rejected twice and this is the second time sending my parnets..

i dont know whats wrong with the docs.

we are so frustrated with these visas.

can someone suggest me what would be the better option to do now?

      Thanks,

It is a misconception with many young people in the US that
if they send sponsorship papers, visas will be issued to their parents. Sponsorhip only establishes enough funding for the stay. It does not do
        anything for other important issues that consulars look for ;
ties to home country,( property , business, funds) and anything that
        assures the applicant's return.
Many times consulars do not even
look at the sponsorship papers and decide only on the basis of answers
to their questions. Sponsorship is not required if the applicant has a healthy financial base and is self -financing the trip. Self-financing
may even go in favour of the applicant as it may show that
the applicant will come back to his/her assets.

Your parents should not rush into reapp. Sponsorhip by your
husband may indicate desperation to get there. Wait about half
a year before reapplying and in the mean time sort out the
problem about your company not being in the database.
Since you are in the US you may even talk to a good imm. attorney
to get help preparing the application.

        best of luck

          Thanks for your suggestions.

But right now i dont have time to wait for another 6 months. I need them to be here by october.

As i took an appt. already i will try this time and see my luck.
If this does'nt work then i will wait for couple of months before reapplying.

The only reason i could see is my father is retired at age 52, so i thought based on that they rejected last time.

this time i will try for my Mom alone and see if it works out.
