I-94 and visit to Canada

My mother has US Multiple entry visa and got a Candaian Tourist Visa.
She will be visiting Canda for 2 days.
Does she have to submit her I-94 at the US-Canada border?
Will she be reissued a new I-94 while coming back into US from Canada?
