  • Query regarding duration of stay

    Hi..

me and my mom plan to travel to usa... our interview is on 18th September.. I am really tensed since all my friends who are unemployed and unmarried visas have been rejected ... but Hopefully, If my visa gets issued....

In our covering letter i have written that we plan to travel there on 25th September..

    1. Can i go ahead on 25th and my mom can come later?

    2. if i get a 10 year visa... can i stay there for 3 months and then come back ? instead of (3 weeks ) mentioned to them?

    3. If at the immigration counter the officer asks me how long do i want to stay .. what should i say ? 3 weeks or 3 months? ( Im really confused)

I will be coming back to India no doubt.. but i just want to be clear about all these things.

Thanks for your help on all the other queries.

    Yes.

Yes. You can travel for more time than mentioned in the interview if needed.

You need to tell what you have mentioned in DS 160.
