Online ds-156 form

Hello,
I have seen there is online ds-156 form which submits online application & then prints barcode so that when someone goes for interview, CO's has the data with them.
When I have taken appointment for my parents , I have just filled the DS-156 form ( offline ) & send printout to them for signing which they used to take appointment. Is it advisable now, to fill the online ds-156 form & take printout along with them for interview ?

It is not really not online submission.

When you enter the information online, it generates the barcode and information is in there. Nothing gets stored in any database at that time.

When they scan the barcode, they have all the information in that.

Don't worry. Don't try online DS-156 now. It is just for their convenience that they don't have to type all the details again from hand filled DS-156. It makes no difference for visa purposes.
