Validity after Grant of Visitor VISA

Hi,

I am planning to apply for visitor VISA for my mother. Though, it is certain that she would be travellling to US ,provided she gets the approval but my question is that suppose, in any circumstance, she is not able to travel now and lets say that she gets the VISA for next 5 yrs or something, then can she travel anytime till the next 5 years or there is a limit by which a person has to travel after getting the VISA.

I hope i am clear in my clarification. Pls advise me

She can travel anytime before the visa expires.
