My parents are applying for their visitor visas and I wanted to find out if it's possible to pay visa fees online (via NEFT?) or would they have to visit a HDFC bank in India? Appreciate your inputs. thanks!

Yes, you can do NEFT payment. Details at https://www.immihelp.com/electronic-...ia-using-neft/
No more HDFC bank. It is Axis Bank or Citibank. Details at https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visa-fe...ions-in-india/Immihelp Support

payment to be done by both
HI
my parents are applying for visitor visa.
with the recent changes in fee payment. looks like one has to create a profile and then he/she can use NEFT payments.
also the profile is required if you are going to a bank for fee payment.
my question: as both my parents are applying, do we have to create two separate profiles and make the fee payment separately for each of them?

VFS web site says:
"For those that have paid at HDFC bank and not schedule in our system, those receipt numbers have been transferred to the new site."
Can you try to schedule the appointment with the HDFC receipt and post your findings here for the benefit of everyone?

You need to create only one profile and make one combined payment of Rs. 9280 x 2

link not working
Hi ,
Thanks for replying back.
I tried following the link..
looks like https://www.immihelp.com/electronic-...ia-using-neft/ on this page,
the link that stats shceduleing visa appointment steps 1 to 10 is broken. It just redirects to immihelp homepage.
thanks for the help..

I do have another question, I know it is not the correct post to ask the question, but instead of starting a new thread thought of asking here.
I already read the DS160 filling guide about it.. so for the employement details in DS160. as my dad is working with the same Org since he started his first job.
Do we have to provide the details in section asking , "were you previously employed"?

Thanks for the update.
so we can conclude that previous employment section is applicable only iff
you have worked with more than 2 different employers and your previous employment was not older than r years.
just to clear the ambiguity... it happens some times when you are filling up such a critical form
thanks a lot admins, really appreciate your help.

visa fee payment for dad and mom
Hi.
after profile creation for my dad and added my mom as dependent, i have generated the Stanley slip(to pay at axis bank over counter). It says to pay "9280X2". But in instructions, i see that
"3.each applicant must make only one visa fee payment per advice slip". what does this mean?
Also,
As a next step in website, it asks to enter "bank reference numbers" individually for dad and mom. If we pay together, do we get different "bank reference numbers?" or single reference number can be entered for both.
Your input will be appreciated.

1. That means you pay Rs. 18560 (which is 9280 x 2) With this new system, you can even pay for 50 people (or thousand people or whatever you want) at a time and use the same number again and again for different people until it is used up. (Mostly helpful to travel agents or big companies.)
2. Yes, that is true. However, that is primarily to accomodate HDFC receipt people who paid with two separate payments. Actually, once you make the payment, and your receipt is activated, the receipt number will automatically be uploaded in your profile and you don't have to enter any numbers yourself. You can just proceed to schedule an appointment. Even if you still see two slots to enter the numbers, enter the same number in both of them. But in any case, please do not make two separate payments.Immihelp Support

I selected visa type B2
first i created DS160 my father-in-law then at the thank you page i added another family member as my mother-in-law. system will create 2 seperate DS 160 forms.
After completion, created profile in us visa website. in the dependant section i added my mother-in-law. I have given my old HDFC reciept numbers and it has accepted.
I have given both ds forms confirmation number then it showd the dates for consular appointment. after consular appointment i booked the OFC appointment.
The appointment confirmed with my father-in-law name and in the number of applicants it showed as 2.
after this i called the customer support and confirmed with them whether i did right. They said it is correct. Then i told them how the other lady misleaded me saying that we need to create 2 seperate appointments. The ultimate answer they have given is 'THATS FINE SIR'...

Adding dependent is not working
Hi I am trying to schedule my appointment for myself and 3 of my family members. But when I add applicants after giving all the necessary details in the form and click save, it doesn't show up. And when I reach confirmation payment I only see 1x9ZZZ
I have tried all the browsers and sadly this part of the site doesn't even work on IE8.0
Please let me know how to proceed further
