Inivitation Letter for Visitor Visa

Hi,

My friend's parents have a 10 year visitor VISA to US. They had travelled to West Coast (near Seattle), a year back.

They are planning to come to US for a second time this fall. This time around, they will be coming to EAst Coast (EWR).. Do they required to carry a new invitation letter this time or is an invitation letter not required for their entry to US?

If they did not overstay their first visit, they should not have
any problems entering. No need for a fresh letter if they are visiting
their children; they can simply state that at the port of entry.
