Zimbabwean living in UK, wanting to travel.. Schengen visa??

Hi,

My friend is from Zim, living on London and wanting to do some trips around Europe. We are just wanting to know where she can go using the Schengen visa, how long it lasts and whats involved. She is wanting to go to Italy, Malta, Germany Etc.. Not all in the same trip just some city and beach breaks every few months.

Please let us know how this works.
