Diversity Lottery
Good morning Ray I hope you could help me.
My cousin's girl friend won the Dv lottery they have been together for 3 years now. She wanted to get marrried with my cousin before applying for her visa as she did play as a single. But my cousin doesnt want to do anything that will push the IO to refuse the visa. We have been told that IO at the embassy are very suspicious when someone get married after winning the green card. I told him to get married and just be honest with the IO but he heard from others that it could be rejected specialy because they are still both under 25 years old.
He now want to to get married only once she has got her Immigrant visa and before she travel to the US. Is it a good thing to do? If he choose to get married only once the visa is granted what form is he supposed to fill. I-824 or I-130 if the fiscal year is still current?
Please help me. He doesnt want to do anything that might affect her.
