  • How to wake up approved I-797

    Hi,
My sister received I-797 approval in 2009 but never send I-824 to USCIS for further action. Although, my priority date was 2001. How can I wake up this case again? I know I have to send I-824 form along with copies of I-130 and I-797 but, is there any other documents or letter to wake up the case which has been approved 5 years ago. Also, I don't see any expiry date on I-797, is it expired or what? Can I still file I-824 for further action? Is there any special steps for that type of case?

    Thank you,
    UK

How many times are you going to cross-post the same question?

Anyway, forget about the I-824, as that's not necessary until you exhaust your other optinos. Contact the NVC and ask status of the original receipt number from the approval notice.
