Visitor Visa Extension and POE questions

Hi,

My parents went back to India in April 2012 after staying with me for 11 months (6 months + 5 months extension). However, due to my family condition, I require them to come back again in December 2012. Both parents have 10 yrs multiple entry visa. I am concerned that the Immigration Officer at POE might send them back or not give 6 months of stay here. Did somebody have similar experience? Would really appreciate your response.

No one can predict what happens at the POE. You are indeed risking a lot. They may be given a very short stay or their visa can be cancelled and they be asked to go back too. If cancelled, it will be difficult to get another visa in future.

General thumb rule on visitor visa is to try to spend double the time outside US of the time spent in US. So if one has already spent nearly a year on B2 advisable to spend next 2 Years outside US.
