  • Do I need to send supporting documents if I filed B2 extension visa online at ELIS

    Hi,

I have filed I-539 online using USCIS ELIS for extending visiting visa for my mother. In various forums, it was mentioned that we need to send documents as well to the address that will be mentioned in the USCIS receipt. However, I cannot see any address in the USCIS receipt that I received at the end of my e-filing.

Please could anyone give more information whether I need to send any documents and if so, where do I need to send?

    Thanks,
    Venu

Did you scan the documents and upload? If not then when you submitted the system must have generated some forms and the address to send supporting documents will be on there.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

      Yes

Yes. I have Scanned all the required documents and uploaded and only I did the final submission.

Then there is no need to send the documents in mail. Did the system generate any instructions or receipt notice?

At the end of the submission, it just generated 'CASE Receipt Notice' and it just has the USCIS Receipt number and there are no special instructions. So, thats why I was confused by reading in other forums on why people do physical submission even after filing online.

Also, at the following link- https://www.immihelp.com/application...visitors-visa/ , it is clearly mentioned as..after the e-filing is completed, place the documentation into one package and send to the address on the receipt.

The old electronic filing system did not have the option of uploading the documents. It is not applicable now.
