if you overstay for more than one year and then leave usa , you will be barred to enter US for 10 years even if you get married to a US citizen.

if you do not leave usa ,
then adjusting to green card is possible
through marriage to a USC, PROVIDED the marriage is genuine. If you want to do that, hire a very good immigration
attorney because the immigration officers will grill and verify both you and your spouse to make sure that the marriage is genuine.
When you overstay so long, they will suspect a sham marriage and the burden will be on you to prove that it is a genuine marriage.

About B2 extension, one is allowed to apply but outcome depends on your reason for extension and
providing proof of ties to home country.( job, return ticket).
