B2 Stay Extension - What happend to visa is the extension is denied?

Hello,

I have a 10-year multiple entry B1/B2 visa. I am currently in US, and would like to file extension application.

If my extension application is denied, will my B2 visa become void? Please let me know

NO. visa becomes void only if you overstay. If you have applied for an extension before your stay expires, you will be legal till the response comes.
If it is a denial and your stay has expired; you will have to leave immediately . And on next visit, the officers can ask you proof of that( carry denial letter and departure boarding passes).They MAY cancel your visa if they think that you did not leave immediately after receiving the denial letter.

To avoid complications on next entry ,it is advised that the extension application be submitted as early as possible, so the response comes
before the expiry of current stay. Usually it takes 2-3 m onths for extension processing.

Please do not get me wrong, just want to make sure that my visa is unaffected.

Are you 100 % sure that the visa will not be cancelled if we do not overstay?
