extend stay in the US, I m here on a visitor Visa.

I arrived in US for the first time on 25 Sept 2005 on a B1(visitor for business) visa. My I-94 has been stamped with 6th Jan 2005 as the date for leaving the US. I am currently staying in Atlanta.

I want to extend my stay in US for approx. 3 more months as there are yet some things to be finished.

Can I apply for an extension? And if i can then I would like to know the procedure for doing so.
