B2 Visa extension without return ticket

I'm going to apply for the extension of my B2 visa but I don't have a return flight to my home country cause I'm going to travel to Canada after my stay. I am also going to drive over there and not fly. The reason for my extention is to stay with my boyfriend till his visa expires. He is Canadian. I alreday have a Visa and Work permt for canada. Could this be a reason to deny my extention? Any other information will be greatly appreciated.

Return ticket or proof of intention to departure from US is required for extension of visa.
