Visitor Visa Extension

Hi,
I am trying to get my mother-in-law's visa extended. I have submitted the application online and need to send supporting documents. Do I need to send a copy of her airline ticket? If yes, then should I send her current ticket or get her ticket extended for 6 more months and send the new ticket?
