2nd time visitor visa extension

My mother-in-law has 10 year visitor visa, she came to US in aug. 2004 for 6 months, we requested for 3 months visa extension in feb. 05 but got for 6 months. she left to India in May 05 (3 months).

She came back in Dec. 05 and her visa is until Jun. 06. We are thinking of applying for 3 month extension again. I am wondering if requesting for visa extension for 2nd time poses a problem? What are the reasons given for extension? Also if anyone in similar situation can share his/her experience. Thanks

If someone tries to spend most of their time in US, they are violating the original purpose of visitor visa. Tourist visa is for tourism. And they may be rejected.
