Extend Visitor Visa approval

I have applied for Extention of Visitor Visa for my Mom. I have got the LIN number and receipt notice. When I checked it today, it is still in process and says it takes 90 to 120 days. My question is, can she stay even if we did not get aproval before her current I - 94 expires ?

Yes...she can stay until you get a response.............but if its a denial, she has to leave immedaitely after,

So, do you know, in general, how long she will have to leave if she gets a denial ?

Do you know, She is age of 70, what are the chances of getting her approval ?
She came to US 2 years before, and stayed only 6 months and left.
This is her second visit and first time we are applying for extention.
