Urgent - Visitor Visa Extension Help

My parent got only 5 weeks visa ! If i file for their visa extension, Is there a way to track the status of Visitor Visa Extension application online ? If i check the status everyday, and if it gets denied and i find it online and by the time i get the denial notice in mail ( 3 days approximately to get the denial notice by US Postal Service ) if i can arrange thier ticket to India in those 3 days, so by the day i get the denial notice by USPS they will have their ticket to India ( They can go to India the same day they get denial notice ) ! What can be the consequence and what can happen when they come next time to USA ?

It does not matter when you get notice in mail. You are out of status the day your decision is made.

If they got only 5 weeks visa, there must be a reason for that (they visited too often in past or something like that) and extension most likely will be rejected.
