Visitor Visa Extention

Hi ,

My mom is here with me in USA since Nov 20th 2006. My dad got his visa late ( for pending processing ) so he came & joined us on Feb 14th 2007. So i want to extend my mom's trip ( Atleast till Aug first week 07 till my dad's I94 date). I just now started taking them places as spring started. I still have many things planed over here to show them when they both are here.

I am not sure if i can extend my mom's visa or not. Please advise. What should be the reason for extention. Guide me & help me to get her extention. Her I94 is till May 20th 07.

Will it affect her future travels if any ?? she has a 10 year multiple entry visa. & this is her first visit.

If you apply for an extension now, the response will most likely come after her I94 expiry(it takes a few months ). If the app is denied,the notice will ask her to leave immediately. If she delays due to some reason(sickness,
tickets not available) she wll be out of status and sec 222g will void her visa.

WHen she enters next time
the officer could cancel her visa if he determines that she did not leave immediately after receiving the denial.

Sincer there is no guarantee for an ext approval, and it is risky situation
when one receives a denial after I94 expiry, I'd suggest she should not apply for an extention and leave a few days before her I94 expiry.
She can always enter again a few months later and her visa will be safe this way.
