Hi All,
I applied a B2 extension for my Mom in May but haven't got "receipt notice" from mail yet. Her I-94 will expire on Aug. 3, 2007.
I called USCIS just now and they told me that the number on the back side of my personal check is the case number. My questions are:
1. I know that it will be legal for my Mom to stay until I receive reply from USCIS. But, does it require a receipt notice from USCIS in order to be legal just in case the application is denied and my Mom has to leave immediately?
2. Is it risky to wait until I receive reply from USCIS? When I send the application in May, I forgot either the original form of I-94 or copy of I-94. I sent a copy to USCIS 3 weeks ago. It may increase the risk.
Please give me some advice. Thank you.
