I want to extend my aunt's stay here in the US by 6 months and am planning on sending in an application for an extention. My questions are:
1) She does not speak English so should I write the letter for why she wants to stay here as if she wrote it or say I am writing it for her if she does not speak English?
2) Also she has been here twice before and recently retired. What kind of proof of financially supporting does she need? Do I need to fill out financial sponsorship papers for her I-134? or can she say she is staying with family and does not pay for anything and is using money she brought with her for little things she needs and souverniers.
3) Reason's for staying here. She wants to spend Christmas with family (which she has not done for 18 years) and visit Niagra Falls in April with us-if that enough? I read somewhere that it needs to be a paper ticket-is that true and if so how do I get a paper ticket from an e-ticket?
4) Return ticket home. She had an eticket to come here and has an e-ticket to go back Oct 28th, her I-94 expires on Nov 4th, 2007. Can we just include that e-ticket copy and say we can extend her flight to a later date if she is approved or does she need to go and buy the ticket for new date she wants to return?
5) Final question. I find all this talk about denial making her status invalid confusing. If she has a valid visa and an I-94 valid to Nov 4th and she gets a denial letter before her return date of Oct28th will she have to leave before Oct 28th because she got denied even though her I-94 is valid or is this just for cases that take longer to respond than the I-94 is valid?
I appreciate all your help.
