Visa Extension - Online status says decision mailed but no Mail. Now what???

Hi Guys,

I applied for my parents visitor visa extension online on 9/11/2007 at CSC

Checking the status yesterday, it showed that decision has been mailed to us on the 6th of Oct. No more info.

It's the 12th and no mail received til today. Their I-94 expires tomorrow.


Reading through the forums, a few comments said this kind of UPDATE means the case is denied. So I am in a fix now.

It has been 6 days as per their record and we should have got it by now. Do they actually mail on the 6th if the update says so or is there a normal delay. 6th was a Saturday. Do they work on Sat? any views of this delay based on your experiences.

Not sure if I have to wait a few more days and react or should I make travel arrangementsimmediately.

Tried contacting USCIS to know the status but no use. The lady asked to wait for 90 days and then ask for the status details or come in person.

Can you please pass on your suggestions.

If they mailed the decision and her I-94 already expired, then her visa is already in Jeopardy based on 221(g) so... might as well wait for the mail to arrive and confirm that it was denied.

They will give her 30 days before she is "deportable". But, her visa is already flagged as overstay and next time she comes it will be at the disposition of the POE officer whether she will be allowed in or not.
