I was just wondering if it is true that INS usually sends out a letter requesting more information to validate your visa extension filing? We went to a Polish agency and they said that their clients always get a letter requesting answers to certain questions and asking for proof, etc before they mail a decision. This seems odd to me but has anyone else experience this. We filed an extension for my aunt on Agust 10th, receipt data of August 20th and we have not heard anything else since. She almost left before her I-94 expired but at the last minute decided to take the risk of staying till she gets a decision.
