Leaving the US after extetsion rejection

Hi, I have a question How quickly must one leave the US after a visa extension rejection? In your info, re Extend Visitor's Visa, in one paragraph you state "you have to leave immediately' and in a lower paragraph you state 'the CIS generally allows you 30 days', I'm a little confused. Could you clarify please?

You have to leave immediately. There is no grace period to be in legal status.

If you are still in US after 30 days, they can deport you. In other words, you have 30 days grace period before they "kick you out".
