Reason for Vistor visa Extension

My inlaws came for my wifes delivery and they got only three months visa at port of entry . Now i'm applying extension for my inlaws . what could be the appropriate reason for extension. Shall I mention like my wife need their support or still they need to visit few other places like west coast etc.
