Visitor visa extension denial

Hello:

I have some questions about the extend visitor's visa, i arrived to the US at Jan'28 2007, my current I94 expires at Jul'27, I'd like to ask for the extension of my I-94, I have a 10 year multiple entries visa that expires at 2015.

I read in your site that if my extension is denied they could cancel my current 10 years visa, I'd like to know if that is only if I overstay after the expiration date of my current I-94? I really don't want to jeopardize my 10 years visa. So if I don't get the answer before the deadline and I decide to leave the US, I'm not gonna have any risk with my visa?

If I file my extension this week, is gonna be enough time to get an answer before the deadline?

Also I'd like to know if you guys have any sample of the letter explaining the reasons to stay?

Your visa is cancelled only if you are in the US when your denial occurs. It does not matter when your current I-94 expires.

If you file now, it will take 3-4 months for the decision to come.
