B2 Extension

Dear Sirs,

I'd like to know if I'm allowed to leave USA and come back after obtaining an extension of stay for a visa B2. I'm in USA with a 6 months tourist visa and I'm willing to extend it but I've also planned to go to Thailand while I'll be staying in USA.

I can't find the answer so it will be very helpful for me if you can clear this question.

Yes, you can do that. However, if you try to stay for too long in the US, that can be a problem.
